The fourth chair
How the walk-in chair works
Three chairs book by name. The fourth takes whoever walks in. This is how we keep it fair.
- 01
Sign the board
Write your name on the board by the door, in the order you arrive.
- 02
Watch the board
It shows who is next and which chair is open. Waits vary, and the board is the only clock.
- 03
Booked clients go at their time
If you booked, you are seen at your time and the line waits. Arrive a few minutes early.
- 04
The line closes early
We stop adding names 30 minutes before close, so everyone on the board gets a cut.
Waiting
Wait with the room
There are chairs along the wall and a board by the door. Stay close; when your name is next, we call it.
If you want a particular barber, tell the board when you sign in. Their wait is their chair's wait, and it can be shorter or longer than the walk-in chair's.
